SERDANG, 21^st July. A total number of 30 officers from the Loan Department, Agrobank have  organized a field training program related to vegetables production at the Vegetable Unit, University Agriculture Park (UAP), Universiti Putra Malaysia. This program was jointly organized by two entities in UPM which were Faculty of Agriculture and University Agriculture Park (UAP) together with Agrobank.

The event, which has been conducted once previously, was designed to assist in giving informations, techniques and transfer of technology to these loan officers from Agrobank. It is hope that these officers could understand the process and operational costs to produce vegetables. Two methods of delivering the content of the program were given to the participants which include theoretical and practical. They were given the opportunity to practice each modules assigned with the guidance from UPM personnel. Two personnel from UPM involved were Mrs Aslinah Adnan (UAP) and Dr Siti Hajar Ahmad (Faculty of Agriculture).

The program commenced from 8.00am and ended at around 1.00pm. According to one of the participant from Melaka, he was grateful for the opportunity to join this program and was suggesting that this program could be conducted on a yearly basis. The reason for this was that the program enabled in giving useful inputs regarding operational cost in vegetable industry.
