BUKIT FRASER, 16th July – A visit and learn trip to Fraser Hills and Zamri Agrofarm involving seven members of the University Agriculture Park (UAP) management was conducted on the 15th and 16th July to enabled these management personnel to learn management skills and to discuss the direction of UAP and methods of income generation.
The head of the entourage, Mr Abdul Ghaffar Othman, has stated that the agenda of the program was also directed in bringing a number of UAP-affliated underprivileged students for experiental learning process and also to reward a number of UAP staffs involved in LEAN management projects.
Mr Abdul Ghaffar who currently acts as the Head of UAP’s Income Generation and Operations has mentioned, “In addition of visiting the Paddock, orchid nursery, strawberry farms and Jeriau waterfalls in Fraser Hills, we also visited a Musang King durian farm (Zamry Agrofarm) in Raub, Pahang. With these visits, it is hope that the management of UAP can think about more income generation projects even though the space were limited but will not be a problem for staffs who are competent and creative
A total number of 31 underpriviliged students who has joined this trip concurred that they felt overwhelmed with the experience to visit one of the popular tourist spot in Malaysia and to experience eating Musang King durian fresh from the farm.
